Twitter Players Transferred

OMAHA - Omaha Racers draft choices Jamie Fenton (11770115) and Claude Dumas (11770147) , two of the three players at the center of the team's Twitter controversy, have been transferred to South American teams for the minimum transfer price of $1000.

"Now that they're not on the team anymore, can I say they sucked? Well, they sucked," said Racers owner Jerry Midwest. "And Dumas still has a weirdo haircut."

The comment did not generate any chuckles among the team's fan base, which has become annoyed at Midwest's inability to find good players in the draft. Of nine draft choices, guard Clarence Scott (9217171) had one productive season with the Racers but was outmatched in Division IV, center David Mobuta (9217177) still rides the bench, and forward Marco Antonio Carrera (11770141) is promising but still raw. The other six players were busts in Omaha. Two have already retired; only Kevin "The Masked" Clevenger (10588006) gets meaningful minutes.

This could spell trouble for the Racers' long-term aspirations. Four of the team's top six players, minutes-wise, are foreign imports on the wrong side of 30. With little money to import foreign talent, player development needs to improve if Omaha is to meet its goals.
