Racers Drop Into Tie For First, Transfer Two Veterans

DRAGON DEN - Francois Chomat (10780342) went for an incredible 63 points as the Silver Dragons defeated the Omaha Racers 105-96. The result moved the Dragons into first place in their division at 10-5, and dropped the Racers into a tie for first place in their division at 12-3.

The 63 is Chomat's second highest scoring total since joining the league, eclipsed only by the 80 he poured in against Judd's Boys earlier this season (39466370).

In other news, the Racers have transferred out two longtime players.

Hidacio "Rino 911" Charino, an original Racer who played in the team's first scrimmage at the end of Season 8 (13040340) was transferred to Turkish club Beyazsehir for $11,000.

Charino's role had diminished in recent seasons with the rise of young star Abel Daniels, but was still a fan favorite. His 183 appearance is second in club history behind fellow inaugural Racer Bob Booth (9797870).

Also leaving the club was 36-year-old big man Milan Rapcik (5278959) . The Slovakian big man joined the club three season ago to provide depth; he appeared in 74 games. He joins Masinac RD (100642), a team in the top Serbian division.

Joining the Racers were veterans Danilas Juskys (5166138) and Eric Kirkland (10328419). Both are expected to provide frontcourt depth.

And only 1 game behind those 2 are the Kentucky Wyldcats, whose aging squad have been waiting for Omaha to get promoted so they could have a better chance at winning this league.
