Bowling Green - In front of a raucous crowd of 6,134 screaming fans and at least one guy who thought he was at a minor league hockey game, the Bowling Green Sharks devoured the visiting Philly Clinters 118-80 in a game that was less of a basketball contest and more of a legally sanctioned feeding frenzy.
Dmytro Damin and Baldo Cecchetto led the scoring for the undefeated Sharks with 17 points each. But it was Cecchetto who took home Player of the Game honors, adding 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and a block that sent the ball into next Tuesday. Possibly even Wednesday.
The Clinters were led by Gerald Barger, who poured in a game-high 26 points, most of them while giving his teammates the side-eye for not playing defense.
The Sharks, now 7-0 and apparently allergic to losing, hit the road next to take on the Eggies (1-6) this Tuesday, April 29 at 7pm. Shark fans are encouraged to tune in, but maybe keep a mop handy - this team keeps spilling buckets.
