Bruisers Lose Scrimmage in Overtime but some Stars Emerge

It was a tough loss last night as the Bruisers lost to the Boston Boss 141-131 in overtime. Although it was just a scrimmage, the whole team had to admit they were pretty upset. "We are very competitive with ma13 and his team," manager SREZ stated in the press conference after the scrimmage, "And we try our best to win even if its just a scrimmage. The way I see it is how you play in practice is how you'll play in the game." Still from the tough loss some stars emerged from the game. Starting SF John Ball had an outstanding game, scoring 31 points and grabbing 11 boards. Climent Tomàs and Vicenç Santescases, the two new players from Spain also had amazing games, Tomas getting a double-double and Santescases getting a triple double. Even rookie Sidney Truong, the young 18 year old being scouted by the U21 National team proved himself by scoring 17 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assits. "Overall we played a great game besides for our 26 to's and 50% free throw shooting, but well work on that in practice," SREZ stated, "We should be proud. We got some good young talent and we almost beat a 4 league team. What else could we ask for in pretty much our first game?"
