Coming back from the death of frank Fulton (may he rest in peace) the Bruisers have now gone on a 3 game winning streak. They have been playing very well in their first season in the D.4, especially upcoming star Sidney Truong who said after their win last night, "This season is going to really prove whether we are capable of performing in a higher level of competition. As a team, staff, and fan base, we need to win as much as we can to protect our dignity. We aren't gonna go back to the D.5, and we'll do all that it takes to prevent it. This season is for everyone who supports us, and for our beloved teammate Frank Fulton who had to unfortunately pass away."
More important than the 3 wins in a row is the 3 players that have been sold in the past week and a half. Many of the fans are confused, so we talked to SREZ last night to get the scoop: "After Frank Fulton's death," SREZ stated, "Roper and Jett were very disappointed. Jett had played with Fulton all throughout high school, and told me he needed to get away from this place, for he was in deep depression. I respected his wishes and shipped him off. Roper, well, he just didn't want to deal with all the hype that are team was getting after the tragic incident. He came to my desk one day and demanded that he be put up on the TL. I did.
"As for Carnes, he was just very upset after the adding of Marc Santmartí to the team. He felt he had no real role anymore, and didn't just want to be that guy who only plays in scrimmages or against bad teams in the cup. He asked to be transferred, and I did, for I did not want a player who did not want to be on my team no longer."
The Bruisers players, staff, and fans have been through a state of utter turmoil lately, but as the season progresses, they hope these incidents begin to fade. Like Einar Egeli said, "We're here to play and win, and nothing more."
