Captain Lee Donoghue, U21 NT player for Ireland and all-round nice guy, registered his first triple-double of the season, leading the Tigers to an emphatic 36-point home win while he accumulated 27 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds. This was the 9th Triple-double of his young career and suggests the best is yet to come!
The Penguins had no answer for backcourt duo, Donoghue and Sevanyan, who combined for 52 of the Tigers' 115 points. Donoghue was a passing machine racking up 8 first-quarter assists and ensuring his team were involved in scoring at all times.
The Tigers' depth was too much for the Penguins who, despite winning the final quarter by a single point, had no answers all night.
The Tigers are hoping that this victory will cement their Top 4 finish aspirations for Season 69. Tigers will be looking to back this great performance up with another win over the Kalethas early next week.
