Digging for Change 89 Southsound 74, do you believe in miracles?

Led by newcomer Fred Gustin’s 20 points, Digging for Change continued on their storybook run through their league with an 89 to 74 victory at Couch Potatoes Arena. Their latest victory came to much of a surprise considering team captain John Oneil was inactive with an undisclosed injury and Marco Plibersek played only 22 minutes due to foul trouble. The win ran their record to 21-0 and gave them the Big 8 title. This was their second consecutive league championship and guaranteed Digging for Change will not leave their home arena until the 2nd game of the finals.

“We definitely surprised them this week.” says Marco Plibersek. “There was no way they thought we could hold them to 4 points in the first quarter and 23 in the first half.” “Lil Oneil reminded us how they usually bust us up inside and for the first time ever we beat them up inside.” “It’s important to remember however this was a regular season match and means very little if we don’t take care of business in the playoffs.” “We want to be like Kansas, not New England.” “To do that, we have to keep getting better because we are just not that good yet!”

With the 16th pick in the draft, Digging for Change selects.......
