Malaysia sneaks into next round~

In a nail biting closing game, we edged Saudi Arabia by 1 point to move on to the next part of the tournament.

The Saudi's gave it their all with a VERY UNEXPECTED CRUNCH TIME.

I suspect they wanted to give me a heart attack watching that game.

Anyway, it was a nail biting game where we led most of the game, but they kept it close and almost ran away with the game in the 4th.

Yao Dao Bao... literally ta pau'ed the game for us, being a unstoppable 14/7 from the field, grabbing 18 boards and dropping 30 on the Saudis. If that wasn't enough, he also contributed 3 assists and 4 blocks!

In terms of tactics, it wasn't unexpected for the Saudi's to take the game outside. They've crunched the past few games and were desperately looking for a win, despite being almost ascertained of a place in the next round of the tournament.

I'm quite puzzled how the game was so close based on the ratings, but a win is a win, and we'll be looking forward towards the next round.

We're grouped with Taiwan, New Zealand, Iran, Philippines and Kazakhstan in Pool D.

Taiwan and Philippines were especially impressive in the early stages, going 6-0.

Quite a rough group. But let's see if we can make something out of this.
