My starting PG scored 24 points, 4 rebs and 3 blocks, how come the rating was 4.0?

Or does rating only represent defensive meaning? and it didnt take the offensive stats into account, huh?

Ratings are not based so much off of stat lines as they are off of the players actual skills and GS, which impacts the game. A player with a 30k salary will almost always have a higher Game rating than another player with a 3k-4k salary like your guy, even if your guy has a 50 point game and a triple double.

I would say it's other way around. Stats are meaningless, ratings are most important.

Rating = salary (virtual) x enthusiasm x game shape x (stamina / minutes) + probably little effect of strength of opponent.

Stats on their own dont say much. Anyone can score 30 points against kids. Rating says how good your players are in that game.

Ratings are also useful to follow over the course of the season(s). Your players, especially those you are training, should gradually have higher ratings. Some players in this game under-perform, and you can find those when their ratings aren't improving.

My PG performed better in this game, had 0 foul. Sadly, the rating is still 4.5 only.

It will remain unclear how player ratings exactly work, but we do know that they are linked to what position your player was set to play and relevant skills needed to that position on court.

Your PG has Atrocious (1) handling and passing and pitiful (2) driving. These 3 skills are very important for point guards (as well for SG and SF). I would say this is the main reason that the ratings for this player are quite low, because he has a huge (negative) impact on your teams' offensive flow (which can also be seen in both matches).

Hope this makes it a bit more clear! :)

He is placed like one but same time he is not a pg, he lack a lot of pg skill for that tactic, any player can score,. I could put pf right now at pg and get a bad rating he will 23-24 pts. Also he is not the factor in the game for position for skill to position in the tactic..

Go look at my pg. if I put him at center in LI he will get bad rating. Height don't matter its his build for that tactic position. its really minor only rating matter is the full game rating. unless your going for mvp
