Press Announcements

Fresh Start

Having won both the Tournament and the Championship in Season 20, the Parrots launched another challenging season yesterday, in which they will contest the B3 tournament for the second time in franchise history and face financially re-invigorated old foes on the national stage. For good measure, the Parrots have also just entered one of the most competitive private leagues in the game. There certainly is a temptation to overspend, but Josef Ka promises that won't happen - for once:
I guess we have learnt the economic lesson at last, the hard way. We are now looking for sustainable financial viability at a high competitive level - in 17 seasons we haven't managed to get there, but isn't this the ultimate challenge in a sports management game? But the immediate problem is how to defend at least one of the titles under such circumstances - it promises to be really tough this time around. The Mikis and Ravens are already stronger than last season, the Schnubus are back, we'll see what the Lakers do, and the Chicago Bulls look just as frightening as Lokomotive Coma. And there'll likely be some dark horses in the mix too, like we were last season.
