I am 24 and just graduated from Purdue University in December. I am a credit analyst at a local bank.

I am about to Marry the love of my life and high school sweetheart June 14th.

My dream is to start my own business. On my free time I like to read magazines articles and books to learn more to start my own business. So if any of you guys have any tips or advice I am all ears.

I'm going to post here...because I read this forum.

I'm 29. I have a 7 month old daughter and a 4 year old son. I work for PNC Bank in a corporate office in Pittsburgh; mainly I find cars/boats/planes that are out for repossession.

I let my previous team go bot during a transition period where we were moving into our first house and getting pregnant with 2nd kiddo and getting a promotion at work. I'm a little sad that I let it go, but it was just so hectic. :)

My company banks with PNC...

We used to be with National City.

How did that whole takeover go down? I thought it was kinda weird how it all developed. Anyway I'm pretty happy with PNC. I personally converted to them as well.

So you are in charge of finding the repo's? Seems like pretty interesting work to me.

I would suggest working for a smaller company...maybe 1-10 employees to get your feet wet.

Get to know the owner really well and how he handles the work.

Anyway, the smaller the company the more diversity in the work you do.

Another suggestion would be to try to get on the ground floor of any company you decide to start with. The earlier you start with a newer company the more likely you are to be able to have a substantial ownership provided to you for the risk involved.

Just some thoughts coming from someone who works at a 100-200 employee company. Its good to be apart of decision making process when it comes to wherever you decide to work. That ends up being the most important thing IMO and the most rewarding aspect to me.

Better than me explaining...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_City_acquisition_by...

National City had some poor lending practices.

For my job...I pretty much internet stalk people all day. It's pretty fun.

I'm 56 years old. (insert old jokes here) and I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I work as an Electronic Repairman at a local Iron Mine. I like watching Detroit sports teams, and drinking Captain Morgan on weekends. I'm married and have one son who is 29, he got me started playing buzzerbeater. His team name is Sinshooters.
