Hi , I have a question regarding the promotion. So, there are 5 teams relegated per season from a league. I will take as an example the romanian first league named RBBA . there are 4 second leagues in Romania so this means 4 II league champions. Who is the fifth promoted team and which are the criterias?

PS: excuse my english mistakes

Criteria are the same for bot promotion and the tie-breakers are:
1. Conference position (all conference winners are ranked higher than runner-up even if these have a better record)
2. W-L record
3. Point differential
4. I have no idea (points scored? conference record? we'd have to ask Marin probably but it almost never matters)

So in Romania the top 8 D2 teams at the moment would be:
BC Vikingii; 20-0; +557
Fun Team Constanta; 19-1; +474
Universitatea Cluj; 18-2; +636
Smar2; 18-2; +495
Szatmari Sorosok; 16-4; +644
BC "Politehnica" TM; 16-4; 521
95 DC Originals; 16-4; +370
Boston The Greats C...; 14-6 +455

The higher ranked of these teams that will not win the playoffs will promote. In effect if you finish 22-0 or 21-1 with a better PD than Fun Team you will be guaranteed to promote.

Right now, it may be better not to promote than to promote without getting the bonuses.

I've seen this thread before and that's what scared me from the begining. I officially am doomed to promote this year and it is kind of unexpected. I mean, I do not believe that I have the best team in my DIV 2 , so there will be a lot o minuses for me. And not being awarded with the promotion bonus is a huge blow. All I can do now is look in the transfer market with the money that I have to bring players that can help me promote from the league winner spot. Fortunately, the team morale is fit for the playoff

It's better to promote even without the bonus, you'll make more money in D1 anyway

Tha is correct. Technically you can have a conference winner at 12-10 and in the other conference you may have 22-0 19-3 19-3. The 12-0 team is ahead of both 19-3 teams because he won his conference.

But then again, the promotion bonus for a champion has been lowered this season:

In the past, promotion to a higher division resulted in a way too high boost in season ticket price sales, probably due to fan’s euphoria? It all resulted in teams having better ticket sales on their first season after promotion than subsequent ones, which made very little sense. As seasons go, the fans got a bit more experienced, cooled their heads and will not rush to buy so many tickets right after promotions. The difference is not that great but will help promoted teams plan their future seasons more accurately.
