I know there is some randomness to the draft. However, does the overall quality of the whole draft change from season to season. I mean, if it were possible to scout all 48 players every season, would I find that some seasons have more talent than others. Or, is it always the same number of good and bad players available?
Thanks.

Some drafts are less bad than others, definitely.

I spend way too much on the draft every season. Here's what I can say with a fair amount of certainty. Some drafts have as much as 5 players who are "worth" training. Most drafts though have 3 players "worth" training. I've never seen a draft with less than 2 players worth training. In summary, 90+% are mostly garbage.

And for me, they are not worth training if their starting base is less than 40 TSP and they are not at least star potential. Now I say that even though one of the guys on my roster is a home grown player and when I drafted him, he had 36 skill points. He's got 107 today ((29560527)Daniel Knowles). Most managers would have fired him or sold him, but I decided to take pity on him because he had a really big nose and it was obvious he had a challenging life leading up to this point (nobody ever showed him how to shave and he cuts his hair with the flowbee). Eventually though, it was that "Please say you love me" look that melted my heart.

LOL Awesome story! My two trainees are similar, just got them in two first drafts completely randomly, I haven't scouted or anything(was saving money for the arena). I started training them without much expectations, and now they are a 115 skills allstar and 106 skills allstar(the second guy will continue training for another season or two, first one is almost finished).

In my experience, 8 drafts, 6 were without any MVP+ players, one had a HOFer who went to a bot team, one had 3 MVP+ players(19 so I haven't scouted them). This season I finally scouted a 5/5 guy, but he's 19 A-, so we'll se if I can sell him for much, if I get him.

As for trainable players, with 4pts/week, almost every season I managed to scout at least one good player, meaning, good starting skills and decent potential.

Once I got a guy with 72 starting skills, unfortunately only starter potential. I sold him so someone would train him, I didn't get much money, maybe 100k. Anyway, his buy didn't seem to appreciate his starting skillsset, which was really shame, he could've been a killer 10k-ish SF.

I had a mvp but I fired him. Didn't realize how valuable and mvp is right out of the draft. Didn't have room on my roster at that moment.

Heading on the right path so far. Are you?

Wow....I'll make some room so that doesn't happen again *looking for 9MM Magnum...* >.<

He actually fired two MVP's from the same draft. One of them had a salary around 4600 and the other was 2900ish.

I've officially closed this thread from myself so I can prevent myself from feeling future frustrations.

Good Day!
