I dont put much attention to it but it seems it is very important.

Anyone who can enlighten me with it?

its one of the more flawed aspects of the game in my opinion, and I love the game. But if you sell the last player on your bench you will go to one star for fans not being scared they will lose their star players...its weird, and in my American league there are teams with nearly no American players, that just seems like a turn off to fans to me, but the game does not recognize it.

Since this is open.. I sold up 4 out of my top 6 players this weekend to start the rebuild process.. and the resulted in me going from 1,5-2 stars up to 4+ stars in "I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred" category. I dont get it, I was previously stuck at 1-2 stars for about 3-4 seasons now! I dont mind it at all though.. since these transfers had another effect it seems: my weekly merchandise went from 60k to 83k! Not sure if All-star weekend has any effect on this but yeah.. its a huge jump.

Can anyone explain these two for me?

No surprise there, majority of your total salary now comes from zvab and nered, your homegrown players.

Also, allstar week doesn't contribute to merch, at least I heard it multiple times in the past.

To show how important having high salaried players that are from your home country are towards mechandise, I offer the example of my Utopia franchise from their first season.

I tanked all season with a four player roster, with total salary of about 8k. Almost half of that came from the 19 year old superstar potential Utopia player I was given with my original team. I was pulling in about 12k per week in merchandise, which was over league average at the time.

Well, true, I have 2 top players now who are both homegrown from my drafts 12 seasons ago.. just didnt think it would jump this drastically over night after I sold all other good players, but its great since i am getting 300k+ per week now instead of 250k (planned this as minimum per week over my tanking period, exceeded heavily now).

2 seasons and i will have the money for 1st league
