I have two players playing the same position. One has a FT rating of respectable (7) attempting 40 FT, the other has a FT rating of stupendous (17), attempting 61 FT. The higher rated player, through the course of an entire season, has made only 1% more FT than the lower rated player. You would think over an entire season, those rating would mean more. Maybe those are too small a sample of FT, but it still seems just a bit odd to me.

There seems to be some level of hidden variability by player. I once had a player with legendary (~28) FT and he made over 250 consecutive free throws. I have a guy now with that same legendary level and he shoots 84%, which is good, but certainly not “legendary”.

After reading both posts regarding actual FT accuracy vs. FT player level, I had to check my guys and see if I had something similar going on. I checked my 4 best FT level players. Going by player level, I found my level 10 is at .794, level 12 is .769, level 14 is .886, and level 17 is .873. So I guess the actual player level rating is more of a guide than anything else.
