We have our first competitive hit out this Monday arvo.
Some managers might have noticed their players go on and off the National roster over the last week or so, for those not in the know that’s a part of the scouting process.
We’ll start the season with the 12 players for the first game, which factors in current game shape and progress over the last few weeks.
If your player has dropped off the roster, don’t worry, the line up will change across the season as game shapes fluctuate and skills develop, so we’ll add players on as required or as they’re ready.

Looking forward to a good competitive season!

Things are tracking nicely with the Aussie team. With last night’s win it makes it 11 on the trot in our so far unbeaten season. That’s the first time we’ve won 11 games in a season since season 47, when we won 12 on our way to an Asian Final under the esteemed Lord Woody.
We’re well on track to make the semi finals this season and with some good game shape are a decent chance of making another final and, with it, a place in next season’s World Cup.
The depth is also coming along nicely. We’ve had the odd blip in game shape recently in key players and we’ve able to ride it out nicely by shuffling our options around and there are a handful of players who have been very stiff not to get a run this season, but their time will come.
I encourage managers of players not in the team but on the fringe, particularly those I’ve been in touch with, to keep me updated on the progress of their players. We still have 3 spots in the squad we can use by season’s end so if your guy pops let me know - it might be enough to break him into the line up.

Well, after 13 matches we've made it to the second last stage of our goals - a place in the Asian Cup semi finals.
We'll take on the Philippines on Friday night at 6pm, which is an awkward time as some of our players won't have had a game shape update yet.
I strongly urge all of our local trainers in particularly to please look after the game shape of your player this week - try to keep their minutes around the 60-65 mark if you can, because game shape is going to be a crucial factor.

We've had a terrific run so far this season to go 13-0 but this next game is going to be a real contest to earn the right to play in a final and book a ticket to next season's World Cup. There's been some great work by a lot of managers to keep the pressure on for spots in the line up - which makes settling on the line up a real challenge most weeks, which is a good thing.

We've got some options this week and hopefully we'll hit the court with our full squad in proficient game shape ready to push our season to one more game.

Thanks for all of the support from the community to get the side into the shape it is, it's a real team effort. Now let's win a semi final on our home court!

Cheers mate, we’ve still got to get past your old mob this week. Should be tough, but hopefully a good game.

Game time for the semi, after an earlier question about changing it, has remained at 6pm for tomorrow night. Bit earlier than our usual Monday night matches. Hopefully we put on a show for all of the Aussie managers to enjoy and we book a place in the final.

Game time for the Semi in 40 minutes. Tight game playing out in the other semi. Feel free to log on and cheer our boys home.
Sweating on getting any game shape updates before the lockout....

We roll on for one more match after knocking over the Phillipines in the semi. They jumped us early in the first but after the first 6 minutes we steadied and extended our margin each break to lead by 20 at the start of the fourth.
They shortened the margin a little in the end but we got home comfortably enough.
Congratulations to the Phillipines for making the semi in the first season under a new coach, thanks in no small part no doubt to the work out in by my predecessor here, LordWoody.

We have the final next on a short turn around against China, who will be our toughest opponent this season. I think both sides will go in with similar team enthusiasm, so we’re at least in with a shot.
Then we’re off to the big dance. It’s been a while coming and I’m excited to see how we can stack up against the monster teams from Europe.

Ian Bill was superb again tonight, to think he was just a depth player for us for a number of seasons, he’s been a real anchor over the last 2-3 seasons. Davidson has really hit his straps, too.
