Cheers mate, we’ve still got to get past your old mob this week. Should be tough, but hopefully a good game.

Game time for the semi, after an earlier question about changing it, has remained at 6pm for tomorrow night. Bit earlier than our usual Monday night matches. Hopefully we put on a show for all of the Aussie managers to enjoy and we book a place in the final.

Game time for the Semi in 40 minutes. Tight game playing out in the other semi. Feel free to log on and cheer our boys home.
Sweating on getting any game shape updates before the lockout....

We roll on for one more match after knocking over the Phillipines in the semi. They jumped us early in the first but after the first 6 minutes we steadied and extended our margin each break to lead by 20 at the start of the fourth.
They shortened the margin a little in the end but we got home comfortably enough.
Congratulations to the Phillipines for making the semi in the first season under a new coach, thanks in no small part no doubt to the work out in by my predecessor here, LordWoody.

We have the final next on a short turn around against China, who will be our toughest opponent this season. I think both sides will go in with similar team enthusiasm, so we’re at least in with a shot.
Then we’re off to the big dance. It’s been a while coming and I’m excited to see how we can stack up against the monster teams from Europe.

Ian Bill was superb again tonight, to think he was just a depth player for us for a number of seasons, he’s been a real anchor over the last 2-3 seasons. Davidson has really hit his straps, too.

Was watching the 4th qtr and saw it was 15-4 to start with and got a bit nervous. We pulled it out in the end congrats all.

Pretty chuffed we get another Asian cup trophy and a trip to world cup next season.

Well, at worst a runners up trophy, but I’m pretty keen to make it a gold one.
The community has been awesome over the last few seasons especially, working together to get a versatile squad together and, with a few exceptions, keep it in pretty decent playing shape.
I’ve said it before and it holds true, the manager is just pushing the buttons and making the final call, it takes a community to win at National level and the growth of the Aussie community over the last 5-6 seasons is a big part of our depth of players coming together. We’re heading in the right direction; I don’t know if we’re ready to compete with the big boys in the top-10 consistently yet, but I do feel closer than we were 7-8 seasons ago. I think the best but is we still have improvements that can come from within this squad and just outside of it.
But I’m getting ahead of myself, we still have a game to win on Monday.

We gave it a good crack in Season 57 but we've fallen one short, going down to China 103-79. We gave ourselves a decent chance, didn't quite get the GDP right and paid the price, but realistically we're still a little behind where their squad is at.
Still, starting the season 14-0 is phenomenal for us and shows we're continuing to build. We're knocking on the door of the top-10 in the world at the moment thanks to the outstanding work of many, many trainers who have been developing their high potential guys and looking after their game shape.
Big shout out to U21 Manager Whitewind, who has been doing an awesome job of helping to develop the younger players to ensure we have a great base to build from.
We're into a World Cup, team, hopefully we can get some wins there.

Now, to get stuck into a busy and brief off-season.
