I think augus is obviously referring to training 3 top level 27 yo at single position here, which is still the common practice in at least CBSL. The new engine is definitely throwing a huge curve ball to a lot of the top managers - a 27 yo top player who still receives training and pushing for 160 tsp is going to have a huge value different vs a 27 yo top player who stopped at 152 tsp, so any such change of training plan is going to be massively costly to affected managers.
and yes, I am one of the managers that's going to be killed by this change unfortunately. unless I decide to dump my 21 yo pot 10 player, one of the other two 27-28 yo top player in my roster will have to stop to be trained, thus his likely value in 3 years probably just got cut in half
