I noticed that Allied Precise Gunman (23933) went undefeated in the regular season going 22-0 in Season 39.
I then begin to wonder, "How many teams went undefeated in League IV.23?" So I began to look at the history.

8 total teams went undefeated including Allied Precise Gunman. The other 7 teams include:

Season 13 - INA - Olympic 84 - (24134)
Season 18 - Cal Bulldogs - (28690)
Season 26 - Ice Man - (22885)
Season 29 - INA – Drugslingers - (31706)
Season 31 - Florida Champs - (30453)
Season 34 - Big Man Inc. - (31036)

Now of the 7 teams, 3 of the teams lost in the conference finals including:

Only 1 team lost in the finals once, making a scratch on their perfect season:

And 3 teams claim the trophy by having a perfect season including:

And now we have Manager Trogdor5 a chance to make BuzzerBeater history with being the 4th team to have a perfect season in the league IV.23.

Wow, awesome write up!! Crazy how there have only been 8 teams, I would've thought it would be way more - definitely makes me feel more special.

Looks like AMC Spirits have taken one game so far, and my best bet is that they'll take this next one. Either way, it was a great ride and, since chances are that I'll be promoting in this new system, I'll miss all of you guys and the competition. See you all in DIII :)

Good luck on game 2. What do you mean the "New " system? Guess I'm in the dark. I've spent 2 weeks in hurricane hell. So fill me in if you don't mind. Sometimes I would rather not promote and stay with a good league. I felt that way last year. But the spirit of the game is to improve and reach the Top Tier. Great season to all.

Starting Season 38, they implemented a new promotion/demotion system. Here is the headline found on the news tab.

Starting this season, a new promotion and demotion system has been implemented! 5th ranked teams are now actively involved in the offseason and will join in the fight for survival in the playouts, having to battle it out with 7th ranked teams of the opposing conference. Also, as announced, 6th ranked teams will face each other with the home court advantage going to the team with the better regular season record. The additional promotion spots will be filled with the best ranked teams from lower division leagues, similar to how bot promotion works. The change will surely bring some extra excitement and better flow across the divisions.
