Yes, and with a few competitors using more enth to get ahead today.. it worked out well for us.. It was worth the risk, he saw so heavy inside... he hurt himself by going iso.. it kept the game close, but its not his best offense.

The old boys came out when needed. Don Aaron did well off the bench.. logan king was a bright spot again too.. cockayne big on the glass.. hall big again.. a fantastic effort and great game shape allowed us this, as we had the advantage.. awesome!!

Canadian 120 Chile 110

From first glance it looked like Canada was packing a lineup of old greeter guys from Walmart. AaronMadiar(35 years old), Logan King(33), Burimenko(35) and Don Aaron(33) are far from spring chickens but they sure taught Chile a thing or two. Some early season conditioning issues have held some of those guys down, but now that they old clidesdales have been let out of the barn, it's full steam ahead !!

The starting lineup played very well, but especially in the first half, whenever Canada seemed to get down, the bench came in and brought the enthusiasm like another bench lineup from the North (Raptors)!!! Pavliuk and Aaron provided the scoring punch off the bench. The combined for 24 points and 5-7 shooting from downtown in this one. Considering each of them only played 14 minutes, that is time well spent.

Overall a great effort. Last game the rebounding let us down, this game with a different lineup, we beat them in rebounds 45-36 and even snagged 10 offensive rebounds. Alec Cockayne was clearly the difference. Last game he didn't play as much and his rebounding was sorely missed. He was a mad dog on the boards with 13!!

The 20 assists weren't phenomenal but with only 5 turnovers, it's a nice ratio. The three point shooting started off slowly but picked up when it was needed the most. We only committed 7 fouls. That's amazing. That can be attributed partially to fantastic game shape and conditioning.

Top 3 Stars:
1)Aaron "Old Man" Madiar(Ottawa Storm)... huge huge shots... to the tune of 28 points and 10 rebounds (3 points)

2)Stephen Hall(Burns' Boy) - 19 points and 11 rebounds and 3 assists.. but he did not commit one single foul!! (2 points)

3)Teodoro Almada (Damian's Dude) - - 19 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds.. (1 point)

Keep up the great training and game shape.. Jamaica is up next!!! Let's keep rising through the ashes!! A Canadian storm is a brewing.. who we gonna hit next?

Absolutely.. it will be interesting to see how things shake out. We have the deeper division, but USA,Brasil and Venezuela are arguably the three best teams, so they can duke it out over there. As long as we keep turning out great game shape anything is possible. The last few weeks it's been awesome.

ON behalf of the NT, I'd love to wish our two Kumiko Cup finalists good luck!! Of course we might be pulling slightly more for Lawrence Park as we are biased and a couple of our NT key players reside there, but both teams have a lot to be proud of..

Just make it a close final!!! WE want some good tv boys!!

Holy.. the wonderful game shape support continues. 7 players in 9 game shape and others in 8 except for games 1-2 mvp Kozakov... amazing!! too bad this wasn't next week against Uruguay but definitely this will serve us well in our game against Jamaica if they normal or crunch us.. You guys are on a roll with the game shape.. i'm speechless(in a good way ). Let's keep kicking it up a notch!! Might not be a vocal community but this is awesome stuff!!

Very Thankful Coach.

Business in the Front (1st half), Party in the Back(2nd half)!
Canada 96 Jamaica 76 (45467)

Well the title says it all. The first half we owned, the second half we were out to lunch or rather partying it up it seems with the lovely ladies of Brasil. Overall, a nice safe win against another team that felt the need to use more enthusiasm.

A great team effort. Five players in double digit scoring and everybody got on the score sheet except for reserve guard Pavliuk.

Highlights:
-another fantastic game shape week.. we will keep needing them, as we play tough Uruguay(eventhough they used more enth against Chile) and eventually Argentina.

-17 offensive rebounds (7 of them to Stupendous Stephen Hall)

-6-6 foul shots.. although no NT coach should really rejoice at only forcing 7 fouls all game

-9 steals

-34 to 15 opening quarter that had the crowd assuming free pizza for sure.

Low lights:
-17 fouls
-4-16 from three point land

Men of the Match (for us atleast)

1)Stephen Hall - Again in beast mode with 20 pts, 15 rebs and a game high +28. (3 points)

2)Aaron Madiar - Mr. Everything has really stepped up lately, in what may be his 'last hurrah' season on the NT. 16 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, +25. (2 points)

3)Alex Cockayne - 17 points, 6 assists. (1 point)

Big week.. Please watch minutes again, you guys have been amazing to me .. Uruguay is dangerous, can't let our guard down. As they say...."Who's got NEXT?"

Uruguay vs Canada NT ..

As per usual our guys are fighting hard. They used more enthusiasm, guessed a gdp right.. we played it safe.. They were up by about 17 in the first quarter.. we now have finished the 3rd quarter up by 3.. Can we finish it off? Amazing fight either way.. Let's see what we are made of
