Is it good investment to expand the arena in your first season?

especially, 2-3 vip seats are a very good investment

And it is just an estimate, and it often take more time to build then planned, even whenn roadgeek has a lot of bad luck.

6 days delay at the start is rare.. but not impossible. It usually takes me twice the initial time period to complete an upgrade.
And yes, it is a good idea to expand your arena, although you will find people who think that just a price increase is enough.

I was told that having larger bleacher and lower level seating, increases home court advantage. Is that true? And if so, why wouldn't this be recommend 1st?

Since I'm an obsessive geek, I've scouted many teams in DIV and some III, looking both at their arena sizes and their rosters. From this, the teams earning the most money from attendance have expanded their arenas substantially. They are making more money than those teams who are relying on higher ticket prices. Since there's no maintenance payment for the arena, the only cost to upgrades is the opportunity cost of spending that money on players instead.

For me, I'm shooting for about 7K bleachers, 750-1000 lower tier, 200 courtside. I already built 10 lux. boxes, but that is too much for DV, and for DIV you probably don't need many more.

@WFUnDina - That idea about home court advantage is a good one, but I hadn't heard that.

As for why not to expand the bleachers and lower tier, they are pretty sensitive to your team's performance. So the money you earn from them can fluctuate wildy. Courtside and lux box should be less sensitive to performance (but are still price sensitive).

I experienced a lower attendance during the first games of the seasons. Last season I snatched a playoff berth in the very last game. And I naively based my expectation about attendance on those figures, and It was a bad news when season 16 started with a significantly lower attendance.

Does it make sense to lower the prices a little for season's opening?

(well I'just started BuzzerBeater in season 15 after the all-star w.e., so I'm still kind of newbie although I learned a lot since.)

attendance during the PO is always a bit higher, so it is bad to base your prices on that games.

And yes at the ebeginning of the season, the attendance is a bit lower till you had your first tv and rival game but i wouldn't lower my prices for that.
