I'm more interested in the work that needs to take place off the court. How do you make following and engaging with the NT more exciting?

May I be frank? This community has not wanted to be active for awhile..Damian has asked for depth charts or tsp rankings and i will comply if i dont get fired...that being said..most people in this community need to take it on themselves to allow themselves to help get this going...im not passing the buck and u know im not putting people down but this gets brought up every election here since i can remember and no matter what a new coach does...we always seem to not all do our part.....NT is about all of us...we cant just depend on one person to force people to get involved..it doesnt work....

In saying that, i will continue to try to comunicate through bb mails and continue to post stuff on offsite as well as trying to post more nt polls and player rankings as these are still good ideas.

Thank you both for your answers! Very detailed I appreciate it.
And I'm with RiP with the fact that trying to engage the community is not easy, there's already not a lot of participation in the forum, I'd say less than 20% of Canadian managers go take a look at the forum regularly, even less participate. But nevertheless there is really good training going even though no one talks about it and that's what's important for the NTs

I'm guilty of what both of you guys said, I'm not very active in nt threads, but I do follow closely. I just feel I don't have much to say. And I'm trying my best with the training. So I hope that will help.
Anyhow, whoever wins the election I don't think there is much they can do to make people more active here.

There is no such thing as stupid question or wrong opinion! Welcome to the forum and by all means - say what's on your mind

To the candidates:
- how risky will you be with GDP. What are the two most important secondary skills for big men, feel free to separate by the tactic if you believe we have depth for that.

Will you call up BPA or look at age as well.
Are you looking at options of rewarding players that do the best job of training NT prospects by having them play in season ending srimmage(s)?
Prediction contest with the same reward?

how risky will you be with GDP?

As risky as is necessary. I know that's a bit of a non-answer answer, but GDP usage is a circumstantial thing. If I feel like the team is almost certain to lose against an opponent I'll always gamble on GDP since it's a low risk move that can pay dividends. I'm never playing GDP when we're the heavy favourite and evenly matched games will be determined on a case by case basis..

It was poorly worded question on my part.
I wanted to find out what is your mentality when it comes to maximizing enthusiasm even if you risk taking some possibly unnecessary losses.
When I was NT manager personally had the 'all or nothing' mentality, so under no circumstances did I use approach other than TIE before semifinals, and even during semifinals often took risks (worked beautifully in Americas championships but might have cost us a semifinal of World Champs). Looking for the same in the potential candidates because our players are simply not good enough to go head to head with some national teams under normal circumstances
