If I have a competitive week, I don't like my trainees playing 48 minutes straight.
I'll go:
Game 1: A-B-A
Game 2: B-A-B
Game 3: C-C-C
Also, I will use the trainees at another position as a backup one game. So they will end up with around 60 minutes which is perfect for game shape.
If the training minutes work out close to 48 each, I train 1-position.
If the training minutes for one is worse than 43 at the 1-position, I'll switch to 2-position and that's where the backup minutes at a different position help. They will all be over 48 for 2-position.
