Give more money to teams and they'll spend more.


Yeah, but you're not giving it to all. Only so many teams reach the latter stages of the cup. Thus, we will be increasing buying power for successful teams, which will give more motivation to everyone to do well.

But if you give more money to the top teams (which is already the case between going further in the Cup and more revenue in higher leagues), you are increasing the gap between big and smaller teams.


Really? I doubt it will make much of a difference to be honest. The gap is mostly created by the difference in arena income in different divisions. And to come to my previous point, the teams that go to the latter stages of the cup are only that many... and usually a big part of them are from lower divisions. Sooo, I don't think your point is valid.

I have a tweak on the suggestion of naming players that may work without much extra work. The GM that approves the team can check if the name is offensive at the same time.

Upon signup, perhaps you could choose the name of your franchise player?

It would unfortunately only work for new teams though. But on the plus side, new managers are already emotionally invested, so it may help motivate new managers stay until they learn how the game works.

For existing teams it is possible to name players, but only draftees, and if you buy supporter (if that is still a supporter feature).
