I'm still waiting on 5 challenges.

I'm willing to challenge myself if it's OK with you, as I have more than enough tokens.

I am jesting hence the ;)

I think it is fitting.
Same next season I do alittle more. Best way to learn :)
Of course risky since I am nooby.

I saw that challende in december was not possible to do since so far a head.

I so adore and love what you do!

Thanks very much, Spela, it's always great to hear people enjoy being part of HGL!

I understood your joke, and yes, often the best way to learn is by doing things. I think you'll be fine, as you already succeeded with your Season 2 preparations. So you have successfully completed one season, and I can't see why you wouldn't be able to do so again, and again, and... well, you got my point. :)

That's correct, it's not possible to send challenge on a last match of the Regular Season (in December) when match organizing process begings, because you can only send PU match challenges maximum of 2 months ahead. But now it's already possible to do that...

Thank you for your offer. Now that I checked out your Season 3 box score post, it seems you have all but 1 game already organized, so I guess you've received couple of challenges meanwhile (?).

We can make sure to add your HGL token usage for Season 4 though, if you're very eager to get rid of your tokens, so please don't worry... ;)

During Playoffs, it's sort of more encouraged to sending challenge even though you wouldn't be responsible for doing so (if one wants to try to speed up the match organizing process, with the cost of voluntarily losing one extra token permanently).

During Regular Season match organizing process, it's most of the time unnecessary, as we have more time to arrange everything (although of course there's also more to organize, and more to verify than in one Playoff round, and I seriously appreciate your attempts to get everything done well before deadline).

So at the moment I wouldn't consider that prohibited or anything (to send challenge yourself even if you wouldn't be responsible doing so), but the (only two?) downside(s) of you (or anyone who is not responsible of doing so) sending Regular Season challenges might be, that people could get confused if they receive challenges they shouldn't be receiving. Of course that challenge could be partly alleviated, if you'd send them BBMail to say you've sent them a challenge to speed up the challenging process, and/or to save them one token.

The other possible small downside would be, if it would be found that there has been a wrong court balance during Regular Season, and match result would have to be "erased"/penalties given due to that. Now if anyone would send challenges to each other, then it would be harder to determine who has had the responsibility to send a correct challenge in that RS match. (The responsibility question in this case is not 100% clear though, because match challenge receiver has also a responsibility to only accept correct challenges).

Thank you Pihija, I'll try to remember to revisit this post (here: (327516.230)) prior to setting up Season 4 schedule to make some changes to challenge responsibilities based on new "volunteers" (in terms of actual new volunteers, and managers who have already been volunteers and are willing to use even more tokens as volunteers compared to how many they've so far been using per one Regular Season).

Or if someone else, such as LennuK. from BC Eos would be editing schedule and/or challenge responsibilities for HGL Season 4, I hope that post (that I can keep on editing if and as new information will be given by managers) can work as a basis for "equalizing long term token usage among HGL managers" based especially on voluntary token usage.

Again and again.
Thanks for what you do.
Sisu!

...and again, tack så mycket, Spela! :)

It's one of the biggest motivators/main driving forces for me to keep on doing the (HGL related) work, when I hear someone else as well enjoys HGL very much.

Leagues like this would be nothing without managers, so also thank you very much first of all for wanting to learn all HGL related things (like you said first it wasn't so easy for you, but you decided you want to learn how HGL works to be part of it, and you did:) be part of this community, and also for giving such a nice and positive feedback!

PS. Some people say, that there's hardly any proper translation for Finnish word/term 'sisu'... But what do you think, what would be the closest translation in Swedish? That sisu, I think, is something we all HG managers often need, because it's a slow (yet enjoyable) grind sometimes to get where you want to be (in terms of having a great and/or balanced team).

But as mentioned, when you reach your goals as a home-grown team, at least for me there's nothing more rewarding in BB (if we don't count the social aspects/meaning of the HGL/BB, but it's not meaningful to compare those different 'sides' of BB/HGL, as they're fundamentally so different aspects of game).
