Final Score
Hanguk U21 54 - 82 Paraguay U21

Welcome to the live broadcast of our round robin game in the consolation tournament. We're in tough today against a bit more stronger opponent in Paraguay U21. They have an astonishing beast of a C Silvestre Robles (34051046), thank goodness his gameshape is mediocre, or else this could've gotten ugly fast. He's their starting C today. We elected to go low post, and hopefully it'll attack his weakness a little. Our opponents put more enthusiasm in this game than we did, along with going with an outside offense to capitalize on good gameshapes from their guards. Also to note is a missed game-day prediction (GDP) on my part. Was only hoping that would keep it close, but we'll see how it plays out.

Opening quarter, we ended the quarter down 12-23. Not too bad. A bit of a slow start, combined with more enthusiasm put in by our opponents. Let's continue coverage in the 2nd quarter. Our rebound game is doing good so far, but we're relying heavily on it, as we're missing a lot of shots. With our offensive rebounds, it's certainly giving us an extra chance to score some baskets, but c'mon guys! We need to score! They're 7 for 18 so far in this quarter. We're holding up on defense, but again... we need to score to keep it close! Byung-Joon Nam (36376202), (19 years old) scores his first basket in international competition with 3 mins to go in the quarter. Hoping this is the start of a long promising career for a talented prospect. We end at the half down 23-42. We come out swinging from the half, sinking in our first 2 shots. But Paraguay isn't gonna let us back into the game that easily countering us basket for basket. Kyung-Tae Jung leading a spark, coming off the bench towards the end of the quarter to try to ignite the offense. We fought so hard to have a winning quarter, but ultimately lost the edge, outscored 17-21. At the end of 3 Qs, down 40-63. Final Score 54-82. We broke 50, that's a positive. But ouch, 28 point deficit. That'll certainly hurt our point differential.

Overall, it was a decent effort on our part. Playing on enemy turf, and playing conservatively on effort, I couldn't have asked for more. Could've used some better game shape so that I can have more flexibility with the roster, but I know it's not your faults. You guys tried with proper minutes, the game engine just decided to do what it does. Keep up the good work in training and maintaining. We'll see what next week brings! =)

blown away in the last quarter. But our team is not to be underestimated. despite putting in less effort we were able to keep it close. Good job.

Do you want the good news or the bad news?

The positives:
- we didn't get doubled up!! Those last seconds of the game was cringe-worthy as we simply couldn't get anything in, and with the ball stolen at the final seconds, plus a hoop and the harm. We only lost by 49 points.
- we actually kept it a pretty tight game in the middle quarters. If it wasn't for my bad GDP guesses... that should teach me a lesson. But was all in hopes of keeping things a little closer? Maybe lose by only 25 points? =P
- nobody fouled out! You guys hung in there, and despite a spanking, you guys held in there for the beating. Brave souls.
- we lost by less than 50!!! It'll hamper our Points Differential a bit... but could have been worse if we lost by 50+

The negatives:
- we lost by 49 points!! Hahaha. Didn't expect much. This is actually along the lines of what I expected
- bad guessing on the gdp
- we drew a powerhouse in the Czechs on their home turf! Not much we could do about that.

Overall a tough game and a learning experience.
onto bigger and better things!!! keep up the training!

Some chances needed to be taken, but we secured our 2nd win of this consolation tournament!!! We have a pretty tough schedule ahead through the rest of the tournament. We'll try our best and see what we can make of it.

A win in a win, as we keep trying to get better.

Good job gang!

And then there were 7.

We've lost another manager this week in the retirement of Greenshytea.

Hope you remaining 7 managers are still interested in the game... I am. =)

not much to rant and rave about in terms of international competition, but this draft class, in my opinion is one of the most promising yet, and if done right, we could stabilize our program for many seasons to come.

So let us know if you have any questions, let's all work together in bringing these players up.

Yes, continue your good work! I'll try to make some good money with my utopian trainees next season and hope to get another korean prospect. And maybe one that will be more than U21-material

Du hast nicht genug Geld, um dieses Gebot abzugeben!

So... while we wait for the NT matches delay...

anybody watching the women's world cup?
Korea playing Spain on Wednesday... think they have a chance? It's a must win for them to move on into the knockout stage. I watched their game against Costa Rica and they were ferocious... fast pace offense... except defense was questionable...

hope i'm not the only one watching
Korea's got my support!!!
