It's not always a human error, this happens too often and there's an explanation from a database mechanics POV on how this can happen (in principle). However, we are still not sure what triggers it in our case. Can you remember the exact time and date when you submitted the new lineup which was then undone? We only have logs of the first two submits on 2025-01-28 15:55:15.940 and 2025-01-28 16:09:21.220 (server time, so Eastern US time).

@Everyone: For future reference, in order for us to be able to investigate this properly, please record the exact time of the submitted lineup that gets "erased" from database. I'm always suspicious of these having something to do with the economy updates on Sundays and Mondays, but I may be completely wrong.

I remember it was the same day as the signing of the new player, that is, the same day as the match, Thursday 30/01/25. I couldn't tell you the exact time with certainty, but it would have been around midday local time. In fact, there should be at least two more records.

In this regard, I have created this suggestion, at least to rule out human error when submitting lineups (and other events related to form submissions): (326472.1)

Happened to me too, like 3rd time in 2 seasons on scrimmages. I confirmed roster yesterday in the evening and double checked it today..., I had it set up so that my weekly stats is around 60-70 mins... bye bye form... really annoying bug

One note, i selected same roster as I had in (133666303) and did some minor changes there... so it might be a lead for devs

A pondering I had while setting some lineups for PU games tonight... is it possible that submissions that "didn't take" were trying to make a defensive swap, and accidentally submitted the lineup change with one of the defensive positions blank after they shifted things around at a different position?

@ Cyberfistro : The suggestion is noted, it would be very useful but I don't think this will help prevent this. The problem is that the lineup is recorded and then somehow undone.

@Merimen: sadly, I lost the log data for your match and hence can't investigate properly. I've now greatly increased the time period for which we keep the log to make sure this doesn't happen any more.

@Azariah: I tried to reproduce it and it seems there is no problem with saving intentionally wrong defensive swaps. The GE will ignore the swaps if they are recorded wrong.

@Everyone: As before, keep reporting, try to note the exact date and time (and timezone!) of the missing lineup, and we'll figure this out!

Almost certainly unrelated, but I am gonna mention it since @Cyberfistro said "I remember it was the same day as the signing of the new player".

A couple of days ago, while modifying the lineup for a game, the countdown clock on the right sidebar for a player I tried to buy reached 00:00, and within seconds I was redirected to a BB error page, before I had the chance to submit my lineup.

You have to submit the lineup at least 15 minutes before tip-off.

The "Active Bids" countdown clock went to 00:00, not the clock for the next game.

Hey gms and bbs 133691439 here is another specimen of this phenomenon. I've saved line up about 5 ish hours prior to match. After that I actually received info from app that I don't have line up set. So I set it again. Base was from my match in bbm this week but I've changed defense and offense strat. As well as guessed theirs. Match is still in progress rn. But tactics nor line up are correct. They are both my default, not neven same as my bbm match I believe.

Id of match I selected to copy line up from 134960130

It seems that selecting line up from list short before match causes this issue.
