Has "Strictly follow depth chart changed"?

I've got the same guy as starter, bench, and third string. There is no foul trouble. I checked the pbp viewer and there are not in game injuries and guys are only playing 34-ish minutes instead of 48. Is it because I am blowing out bots or something else?

Probably stamina? Garbage time could also play a factor I guess. But is it advisable to play the same guys in 3 positions? Iirc I used to just dress 5 people and leave the bench blank and it has worked all along. Not sure if there were any changes recently. Haven't tried it out yet

3 1:44 73 — 31 G. Robert (A) gets free for a baseline jumper with R. Holtz (H) right in his face. Scored.
3 1:44 73 — 31 Full timeout called by HumbleFam.
3 1:44 73 — 31 It looks like that we're now in garbage time.
3 1:44 73 — 31 K. Bukarev (A) substituted for G. Robert (A) at SG.
3 1:44 73 — 31 J. Chamorro (A) brought in for L. Sorenson (A) at PF.
3 1:44 73 — 31 S. McGraw (A) came off the bench to replace M. Corradi (A) at center.

You won by too much. So he got subbed out for garbage time.

If you are single position training, you should be able to dress only 9, have your trainee in all 3 slots in his position and then assign each of your subs to the 2 backup slots of 1 position and the GE will generally still give 48 minutes to your trainee, even in blowouts. You can do similar things with 2 position training, just make sure to only dress 8 instead of 9.

Example:

Dress - Trainee; SG1; SF1; PF1; C1; SG2; SF2; PF2; C2

PG - Trainee/Trainee/Trainee
SG - SG1/SG2/SG2
SF - SF1/SF2/SF2
PF - PF1/PF2/PF2
C - C1/C2/C2

You had spare players on the bench who come on in a blowout. Only dress 9 players if you are 1 position training.

another thing that may cause your guy to get subbed out is coach nonsense. What I use is :

PG: blank/Trainee/Trainee
SG SG1/SG2
SF: SF1/SF2
PF: PF1/PF2
C: C1/C2

and have 9 players in the line up

I find that this method is more effective than filling starting and bench positions with a trainee.
