Greetings to the Canadian BB community!

For quite a long time, I am a loyal fan of sportsmen of Canada. Of course you guys suck at soccer (hope you know what that is ), and your basketball team should also manage to achieve some better results, but your hockey team is awesome. I started to root for them during the bronze medal game at the Nagano '98 Olympics, which they lost, but still. I was 8, and I liked the colours and jerseys Yeah, yeah, I know, you don't even bother with international hockey, NHL is the thing. Well, I'm from Europe, we see things slightly different there. More precisely, I come from Slovenia, a tiny country in the central Europe (sometimes, more due to the resident's mentality, considered a part of Balkans), which is not so tiny in BB - approx. 200 users. Maybe you should know Slovenians Anže Kopitar (NHL) or Goran Dragić (NBA). Or the first lady of your southern neighbours of course.

Anyhow, due to very deep and strong reasons mentioned above, I would like to be given an opportunity to become a Canada's U21 NT coach. I have quite extensive experience with managing U21 teams:

For two seasons, I was a manger of Slovenian U21 team. We achieved some nice results, nothing special, honestly, but very decent. Later, I was also elected on the position of Iceland's U21 manager three times (6 seasons). The success of national team strongly relies on the commitment of the community, but I still believe I contributed heavily to great performances of Iceland's U21 team. With well developed model of training youg players, we improved from ranking #72 to ranking #26 and achieved best ever results at the European championships in season 40, and consoltation tournament in season 41. Very impressive results for a country with only 20 users.

I am also quite experienced with training regimens. Quite many players from my team got to play in various U21 teams and I also managed to get one home - grown guy to play for Slovenia national team, where he is currently a #3 all time scorer and is really one of the best players in the world. I also managed to win a top - tier league in the last season.

If you will be kind and trustful enough to vote for me, I will really do my best to achieve the best results possible. I believe at least 4 seasons are neccessary for a manager to prove himself, so if elected, I will make another candidature in 2 seasons' time. I will encourage and help managers with training young players and try to coordinate the development of younglings in a way, that the team will be able to play various complementary tactics. My opinion is, that even at the U21 level, players should be well developed in their secondary skills, which is not a common belief. I will set reasonable, but high goals before the start of each season.

So, if you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to ask. I know I'm an outsider, but still, this fact alone should not discourage you from giving me your vote

Best regards,

Deschamps

Wow it's not easy to write something as good as Deschamps's speech, but I'll try my best.

You might remember me from a few season's back when I was the NT coach. And although I loved my tenure, I ended up quite frustrated with a feeling that things were written and that the coach had little to no effect on the outcome, no matter how hard he tries. Failing twice to be the last american team standing (the second time for a single point!) in the consolation tournament was really hard on me and I decided to let Coach MK have a go at it. Results were not that much different but then Music Chick comes around and manages to bring Canada to the semis with an honestly not-that-strong team!

It gave me back a certain desire to have a go at it again, and then I saw that Cletus didn't want to continue with the U21 (no matter how you look at it you can't deny he was among the best U21 coach Canada ever had - I'd say at least as good as Kumiko). So I decided to run again for the U21 coach position.

If you look at previous elections, you'll see that I run for that position quite a few times, once I even ended up in a tie with Sparky (S28)! I have always liked the training aspect of this game, and frankly that's the only reason I have stayed in the game this long. I still have my first batch of trainees on my team (Lindsey/Cornoldi - now 41-42 years old!), and I started a new batch of trainees last season. I also always liked discussing with managers on training plan, trying to decide what was best for them and Canadian NT. I miss that and I want that back!

I honestly have no idea how good or bad are the future generations of canadian players, so it's difficult to make goals for the first 2 seasons, all I know is that in 2 seasons we'll have at least one decent inside SF!

I hope you'll give me chance to finally try what I've been aiming at for so many seasons (5 years in real life!), in the meantime hopefully we'll have an interesting debate :D
