Not sure if its allowed because its not BB related but I was wondering what people thought about the new NBA season? Too early to judge the new look cleveland? Will the lakers win 20 games? Will age ever catch up with the Spurs big three?

Personally I follow the Suns (time difference permitting) and am hoping they can get the 8th seed this year while playing some exciting basketball.

They will make make/take ridiculous pull up jump shots, play fast and be entertaining but whether they can play enough D and get enough rebounds to finish 8th in a loaded Western conference is another matter!

I think the Thunder are in real trouble. In the West, you can't fall that far behind, and they will be helpless until Westbrook, is healthy again.

The Cavs will be fine, once they get over "me" and start playing team ball.

I think youre right about the Cavs, definitely going to take some time before they are the real deal but I still think they'll make a big playoff run.

Its pretty crazy whats happened with the Thunder, only 8 fit players after their last game? Should be right up the top of the west so it will just be damage limitation until they get some players back.

I hope the Suns do make it, the problem (as always with PHX) will be Defense, which is always practically non-existent on Suns teams but also Len and Plumlee are talented players but neither are dominant rebounders and neither bring much offensively. The team will struggle against the better rebounding teams and will have to rely on their stacked backcourt for scoring.

You are also right about the rockets they are looking great in the early going, James Harden is such a natural scorer.

EASTERN CONFERENCE
ATLANTIC:
-NEW YORK KNICKS:I believe that they are in transitional year and they will fight to be in play-offs.Their disadvantage is that they have rookie coach.
-BROOKLYN NETS:They have strong team but nothing special and they will be in play-offs for sure.Their strong point is that they have many good around shooters.
-TORONTO RAPTORS:They also have strong team and i believe that they are the favorite for the first place in their conference.
-BOSTON CELTICS:Talented team but without expirience and especially if they lose Rondo with trade they will be one of the weakest team in the league.
-PHILADELPHIA 76ers:Talented team with bright future but nothing special for this year.
To be continued....

After a week or so this is what I have in mind about the NBA season.

- Bulls are going to take the #1 seed in the East. That's a blessing and a curse. A blessing beacause they will have home court advantage in the ECF but a curse because they have a very large possibility to face the Heat in round 2 (#1 seed plays the winner of #4 vs #5 and the Heat will end up somewhere there).
- Cavaliers need to depend on James to run a successfull ofense. They need to depend on James to play successful D as well. Welcome back to your early Cleveland days LBJ!
- The Raptors and the Wizards both look capable of winning 50+ games this season. I like both team's rotations.
- D Wade is back!
- The Hornets won't be as good as projected but will make the playoffs.
- The Nets and the Hawks are one step in front of the Knicks for the final 2 playoff spots.
- Rondo will end the season as the league's triple double leader, Josh Smith is a very good player with very bad habits, Elfrid Payton needs to develop a jumpshot to become a superstar, Antetokoumpo-Jabari: the next dynamic duo, Paul George I miss you and I am a Heat fan; imagine how much the Pacers miss you, Philadelphia fans... just be patient...

- Rockets, Grizzlies and of course the Warriors were doubted throughout the preseason as ''not exactly locks to make the WC playoffs''. They answered with strong starts.
- The TrailBlazers are very lucky! They will not win as many games as last season but they will win the Northwest and take the #4 seed!
- I love DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento loves DeMarcus Cousins
- Popovich is a motherfuckin bastard! This evil genius plays with all of us! I respect him so much I actually hate him...

You obviously like the Starters or what used to be TBJ (same here).

EASTERN CONFERENCE

CENTRAL:

-CHICAGO BULLS:In my opinion with Rose healthy they are a team with full roster and they can go till the end if they stop those silly performances that they do some times. Also Bulls is my team in NBA.
-CLEVERLAND CAVALIERS:Very strong team with a place to the play-offs for sure but i don't bilieve that they can go far to the play-offs because they seemed not to have balance as a team.
-DETROIT PISTONS:Good players but they don't play as a team and it will be difficult to chase a play-offs spot.
-INDIANA PACERS:If they didn't have injured their most competitive players they could do a season like last year but a place to play-offs is their aim in my opinion and they can to it,at least.
-MILWAUKEE BUCKS:The team of 'greek freak' is very talented team and they seemed to be improved but they look more in the future to improve their players.
TO BE CONTINUED....

Yeah that was the most notable one. I didn't know they were getting hate.

Always liked them before and nowadays it's still nice to listen to the podcast on the way to work or just some other point during the day. But I already wondered if the show was shorter partly because they might have been less successful than expected.
