Evening folks,

I want to draft and train a point guard for next season. I have only ever trained front court players. Can anybody tell me what is the kind of optimum height range I should be looking for in terms of a point guard trainee.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Mark

I feel that jump shot, 1-on-1, passing, and pressure all train extremely fast regardless of height. I've also recently learned passing trains faster for taller players than it is smaller players too (though it's so fast to train for everyone that this is trivial information). I think height is mostly irrelevant for guards. The general premise is definitely the smaller the better, though.

I'd personally draft the player (guard or big man) you consider to be best, which is usually the player with the highest potential and skills. There's so little margin for error in the draft.

Yes look for the shorter the better, however
Getting a PG trainee that already has some big man skills is a benefit
I always searched for short Centers and PF's
that way you guarantee some big man skills at the start
