Welcome all to season 22
Let me keep this first post nice and clean since I don't want to have to look at crazy text every time I open the thread

Yep. I took a fairly big beating by the update.

Not sure whether to try and limp thru while operating at a loss or consider selling players off??

Tell me if this is odd...

An 18 year old trainee of mine who recieved full training this season and had 11 pops dropped in salary. Last season as an 18 year old he made $5,700 now he is at $5,000. Not complaining as money is tight but something seems off...

I read that post awhile ago but did not think it refered to last years trainees. The way I interpreted it it was for this seasons draftees only. After reading it again it is still a bit gray but I guess it makes more sense.

I posted it because it's saying last season's rookies had inflated salaries, it is fixed for this season's draftees. So your $5.7k 18 year old should have had a lower starting salary than he actually did, thus not looking like he improved a lot when he actually did. That said, that should be the experience with all rookies going into their sophomore year, so not sure if you're saying all that considered it's still lower relative to where others are at, but I've found most fully trained 18 year olds in the 5-8k range.
