Are there any strategies, keys, etc. to playing 3 different players 48 minutes a week for training? (For example, should I only dress 1 trainee per game at that position so that they get the full 48 minutes, or should I just have each trainee play 1 game as a starter and 1 as a backup and hope they each get 48 minutes?) Also, should I be have my players sit when in foul trouble, or keep them in to make sure they get their full minutes? Or, is it useless to think that I will consistently play them all 48 minutes and not even bother?

schedule a scrimmage and always put only 9 players in the game

League Game:

Player A/Player B/Player B
Player C/Player D/Player D
Player E/ Player F/Player F
Player G/Player H/Player H
Player I/Player I/Player I

that's where you put the player in the position you want him for 48. Put strictly follow depth chart, and then in fouls column put "Let em Play"

do the same for Game 2 and then same for scrimmage

Have the player as Starter, Backup and Reserve. Make sure there are no unallocated players on your bench. Let them play through foul trouble. Hope that they don't foul out or that the coach doesn't pull them randomly out of the game. Its possible to get 3 players 48 minutes a lot of the time but expect some weeks where it doesn't work out.

If I have a competitive week, I don't like my trainees playing 48 minutes straight.

I'll go:
Game 1: A-B-A
Game 2: B-A-B
Game 3: C-C-C

Also, I will use the trainees at another position as a backup one game. So they will end up with around 60 minutes which is perfect for game shape.

If the training minutes work out close to 48 each, I train 1-position.
If the training minutes for one is worse than 43 at the 1-position, I'll switch to 2-position and that's where the backup minutes at a different position help. They will all be over 48 for 2-position.

you can do this if you like.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Just taking issue with the underlined bit. You should play "Sit them" if you have other players who are foul prone so that you don't risk losing games by having non-trainees foul out early. The coach won't sub off the guy with no backup/reserve unless he fouls out.

How do you know this for sure
It has always been written that one needs to use "Lem 'em play"
So your trainee won't be subbed for even if there's no back up

I've never put "LEP" and I've consistently had players get 48 minutes in scrimmages. I always "sit" on fouls.

6+ seasons of testing tells me it works, and I have a lot of experience training aggressive players. That, and I've seen quite a few teams try to 48 a SG, for example, and their starting C fouls out in the 2nd quarter because they have it set on "Let them play."

I have never played anything but "Sit them."
