A small mistake in the recap. Egypt is the reigning champion. Morocco has won the previous 3 tournaments.

Using the 3-2 zone can defend the inside team.
This game engine is weird.🤔

Internet connection problem during the holidays. I wasn't able to prepare the last game. Very sorry. :(

A 32-point W against Ghana, the tournament's host country: (80522)

Ghana put more effort into this game than we did, but that didn't change the balance of power.
The team shot very well: 48-96. We also dominated the rebound battle (+10).

MOTM: Moyo Mosili needed only 26 minutes to score 32 points (12-22).

Stephen Buffery (18 pts) and Vadiveloo Moshoeli (14 pts) also had a good night, coming off the bench.

We will play against Egypt next Monday.

Egypt beat us 122-102 last night: (80524)
The Egyptian coach used more enthusiasm, and it made the difference.

MOTM: Muileki Simelaine was everywhere with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists.
Special mention to Moyo Mosili who scored 27 points.

The last two matches of the 1st round will be against Tunisia and Nigeria.

Some players have been in poor form lately.
I remind you that it is a key element of the game.

Yesterday's game against Tunisia was unbelievable!
Muileki Simelaine grabbed the offensive rebound and scored the game-winning point with four seconds left.

A narrow victory against Tunisia 104-103: (80527)

We were dominated in rebounds (46-37) and conceded far too many free throws (32).
Fortunately, we lost few balls (7) and managed to score at the right moment in the final seconds.

MOTM: Muileki Simelaine had a complete game with 16 points (6-11), 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, including the game-winning basket on an offensive rebound with 2 seconds left!

We have qualified for the next round. We will face Nigeria next Monday to conclude the 1st round.

This 1st round ended with a logical W against Nigeria: (80532)

The dominance on the boards (56/34) made our task easier.

MOTM: Koos Linden finished with 19 points (8-14), 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The next round will begin next Monday. The schedule will likely be released tomorrow.
