U21's Go Into Training Camp

The NZ U21's have started training for the upcoming World Cup qualifying tournament in Indonesia and have met in Christchurch for the camp. Garvey (China) and Hauer (Macedonia) are the only two players who are not in the training camp as they play for overseas teams and could not join the team in Christchurch.

Coach SammyD said that the training had started very well and that all players were getting along well. "The boys have been training very hard and are getting along well on and off the court"

Asked about the draw for the tournament "We believe we have a few good games to get our combinations working before we get into the harder teams of our pool and are confident we can make it through to stage two. Anything less would be a disappointment"
