Egypt may have changed coaches, but I feel pretty sure the former coach is still quite involved and the new one worked with him on the last few campaigns. So don't rest on them by a long shot. But yeah Afrobasket '50 looks wide open.

Nice Idea this thread!

Don't understand neither why Misr is like that this Season...

We have a good team in Nigeria, no doubt my goal is to be as best (minimum) like previous African Cup.

I wanted more conversation, but we can try to do it during the second round.

Matches of this week:

South Africa U21 Tounes U21
Misr U21 Al Jazair U21
Senegal U21 Nigeria U21

Nice match next week, with two of the best teams.

Matches of this week:

South Africa U21 Tounes U21 Difficult match for us. South Africa has better GS.
Misr U21 Al Jazair U21 Very interesting match, they will playifor the qualification for second round, the winner will have done a half of the work. Excellent game shapes for Al Jazair.
Senegal U21 Nigeria U21 They are probably the best teams now.

Anyway, it looks like they will be very tied matches.

South Africa wins, thanks Mamoepa !
Misr wins too, on the road again?
Senegal took advantage on us, one of my best player injured after 7 min, the bench is not good enough to resist after that...

Mamoepa has been very special thus far. Last time out saw my guys put together a gritty effort to win in rather dramatic fashion. But we need better support, couple of my bigs are skilled where I need them to be and if I can get another decent threat to complement him I will be felling better about our chances.

We will have a new champion that is for sure. I'm still scratching my head over how far Egypt dropped off the map.

Senegal does look stout. But Nigeria and South Africa both have enough talent to make life difficult. And Morocco also is coming along. So in my book this is still a wide-open competition.
