No worries, is only 1 game defeat, we still have many games to revive our season.

U did a good job already.

Ii think we could achieve more coming season soon as we have lot of good talents now.

Thanks for your support, Gatut should have dominated the first game. He has the necessary defensive skills to slow down his opponents, what his opponent did is out of my understanding.

This season, we already have a good team, your 2 players are part of the reason why. It is true that the next season looks even more promising in terms of talent.

Season 41 conclusion

A few weeks ago, what is arguably the worst season of Malaysia U21 NT was concluded by another loss against Estonia. Most of our results are not something to be ashamed of, we lost to better teams (Belarus, England, Iran, Argentina, Greece and Estonia). The really big disappointment of the season was the first game, when we lost by 3 against Bolivia. All in all, it was an awful season and the players are not to blame, we didn't have the best team ever but we had a good team. Our current world rank (#62) is at the lowest and doesn't do justice to our players talent.

During the off season, the elections will take place and, as always, I'm willing to step down if someone else believes he or she can do a better job. I'm also open to criticism so don't hesitate to tell me what you think I did wrong.

True enough. Next season looks promising, we have at least 1 good player at each position and we have a little bit of depth! The season after doesn't look as good, there are a few talented players but we may lack 1 or 2 starter talent and some depth. Looking at our user base (about 20 managers), this is nothing new. However, as you rightfully noted, some of our managers are really good, dedicated and train quality players. We are lucky to have them.

Unfortunately, not many. We have a few good trainers so our U21 NT is still competitive and our NT can have a few young players for the future. The newest team is Lalalande (52979), I hope the manager will stay active and will soon become competitive.

S48 conclusion

One of the most talented starting five ever seen in a U21 NT.

Despite having 5 very talented players, we didn't manage to perform as per our expectations. Losing 5 of our last 6 games was really difficult for all players (and myself) as we all felt we could do much better.

Guilherme Raposo was our leading scorer for the second season in a row. He scored over 300 points this season (4th best performance ever) and finished as the 2nd best scorer of all time, only 11 points short from Theo Palikat. He is also the 2nd best passer ever making him one of the most remarkable U21 player to ever wear the Malaysian jersey.
Zhuang Changming is another incredible young talent, if Guilherme was our Michael Jordan, Zhuang was our Scottie Pippen. He finished as the 4th best scorer of all time.
George Nianti was the main guy inside, he finished best rebounder for the second season in a row. He may not go as high as the two players above but he will soon become a very solid player.
Lei Yunan has done a little bit of everything. Scoring, rebounding, passing, there is nothing he can't do and that shows in the stats. His long term potential may be as high as Guilherme or Zhuang.
Ambrose Chen was the 5th member of the starting five. Despite a lower potential, he did his job and will become a good player with a soon to be reached limit.

S49 conclusion

With an easy draw, we could have aimed at finishing among the top32 teams of the consolation tournament. We went that far losing only to Uruguay by 36 and to Russia by 52. A tough team of Venezuela didn't leave us much hope, they easily won their game by 17. The roster wasn't the most talented ever, we lack a few things to be competitive. There were a few players with a very bright future who may have a shot at the NT on the long term.

Justin Pius (47118414) was our go to guy because no one could fill the role better this season. He isn't the kind of guy you should rely on for these things as he is more of an all-around player.
Ambrose bin Londou (47118387) was the strongest guard we had and did a few good games. Showing offensive capabilities, he often did the difference with his defense which doesn't show in the boxscore.
Xie Zilei (47426709) is another all-around player, we relied on him a lot to play at PG but he could have done much more.
Xu Junyang (47118380) was sold at the end of the season. His future is uncertain and with his skillset, it's quite unlikely that he will be playing for the NT one day. He was a strength inside on both sides of the court.
