Perpete really gave you the info you need mate. In Garbage Time all the starters are pulled and all the bench goes in. However, if you have less than 10 players some starter will also play all Garbage Time. So if you know you'll have GT, you should take into account that minutes will be more like 28-10, 30-12, 32-14 and so on (i.e. minutes have a "nicer" split) for Starter/Backup/Backup, or 36-12 for Starter/Starter/Reserve
If i set my starting PF f.ex. as substitute C will he then play ass C or will my reserve also play in this case?
He might depending how many bench players you have, but usually he won't play Garbage Time even if you set him as backup at a different position.
Example:
9 players
PG: Start1/Start1/Start1
SG: Start2/Bkup1/Bkup1
SF: Start3/Bkup2/Bkup2
PF:
Start4/Bkup3/Bkup3
C: Start5/
Start4/Bkup4
All Backups 1-4 will play Garbage Time, plus 1 starter, which should be Start1 at PG
9 players (Bkup4 not used in depth Chart)
PG: Start1/Start1/Start1
SG: Start2/Bkup1/Bkup1
SF: Start3/Bkup2/Bkup2
PF:
Start4/Bkup3/Bkup3
C: Start5/
Start4/
Start4All Backups 1-3 will play Garbage Time, Bkup4 will be selected by the Coach to either play C or PG depending on his skills compared to Start1 and Start4 and might even play some time at both positions. Either Start1 or Start4 will also get to play in Garbage Time.
10 players (5 players not used in the Depth Chart)
PG: Start1/Start1/Start1
SG: Start2/Start2/Start2
SF: Start3/Start3/Start3
PF: Start4/Start4/Start4
C:Start5/Start5/Start5
All the not used backups will play in Garbage time, the coach will decide which position they play.
