I had some strange attendance numbers my last two games and wondering if anyone has seen something like this before or can explain it.

On July 7th I played a home game and drew about about 88% capacity crowd against the #3 team in my division. My next game was an away game against my rival and I won by more than 40 points.

Last night I played against the #2 team in my division and drew only 83% capacity crowd.

If anything I would expect more to come out to last night's game than the previous home game. What would cause more than an 800 person drop in attendance?

I am undefeated and I have not sold or bought anyone between the games.

Thoughts?

A non-orbiting satellite is a very interesting concept, bravo (y)

Check your fan survey (the overall score). It does fluctuate over time for no clear reason and it may well be that half a ball can cause that kind of drop.

My attendance went down in the last game as well despite coming from a win against another top team in the league in a TV game. So it might be also that the effect from the previous season performance is coming to an end, but alas, I didn't check my fan survey on a game day except for the last one (I had 4 balls), so I can't be sure.

Ya the overall score has been 4.5-5 balls for most of this season. Oh well I wasn't sure if there was a logical explanation but perhaps it is just one of those random factors in BB.

My attendance has gone steadily downhill all season, even though I'm 16-5 and in 2nd place in my conference. I know a lot goes into it - including random mood of fans - but I wish it was more heavily weighted toward wins and losses, like real life.

I keep hearing advice to expand expand expand the arena, but I basically still have the same 5,000 fans that came on day one. Maybe I'll install hot tubs where all these empty seats are.

You are allowed to lower prices to fill more seats.

I realize that, but I have the same prices that drew about 8,000 earlier in the season. After winning my last 8 games the attendance has dropped to the 5,000s.

You've been playing worse opponents, that's a big factor too. People rather see a tight game versus another top team. You've had bad luck with your schedule as you played strong opponents on the road, which is harder and doesn't give you the benefit of more attendance at home. I'm pretty sure your upcoming TV game against the nr 1 will draw a lot more fans.

Also, because your prices are relatively high, any effect that influence attendance is exaggerated.

There has to be some sort of random factor involve too. Unless there is something I am missing in my attendance drop over the last two games.
