Well, nearly half the season has passed and nobody has created the new season thread. A late congratulations to all the newly promoted teams. It looks like we have 3 first time Naismith teams this season. A special shout out goes out to Sauga City Spiders for knocking me out of the cup (Curse you!).

Syndicalists' looks like an early championship favourite at this stage, though Green Machines also has put together a solid roster. Alot of teams seem to be taking it easy right now. So what´s everyone looking to accomplish this season? Is anyone looking to make a run at the championship?

Thanks for getting this started O Bear. My initial goal for this season was to make the BBB second round, and now my loftier goal is to make a run at the BBB championship and try to give Canada the outright lead for the most BBB wins. I'll be buying 1 or 2 more players in my attempt to do that. Although I'm still not sure whether to empty the bank in order to try to win this season, or keep a more sustainable team that can last another season or two to give me a few chances.

O Bear
you would have won your Cup game easily if you didn't try to win all 3 games that week
you played normal both games before the Cup
if not you would have won for sure
In fact if you played me TIE, you would have won the next 2
so it goes, best of luck

Ya, it definitely sucks to have been so close in all of those games that playing one TIE would have made the difference. I also wasn't expecting my NT SF to get injured in the first minute of my cup game though. If he had even lasted a quarter, I could have won.

Anyways, I'll be doing a few more roster upgrades, trying to make a run at the title. Hopefully I can make the finals, but, if I get there, I doubt I'll be beating Syndicalists' especially now that he's considering upgrading his roster for a B3 run.

By the way Syndicalists', good luck in the B3. You seem to be doing quite well; hopefully you can win it this year or atleast make a deep run.
