Second Team:
The D-fenders
i too won the cuip, lost in the finals and got a measly 4, sometimes 3.5 rating from fans.
it's absurd how high of a boost newly promoted teams get, and how much it sucks if you break out and not win it all.

anyway, i realized i had just 10 transfers in the last year, and my familiarity rating is 2 balls. granted i did not sell players that were with the team long.

does anyone have a 4 star rating for familiarity, or above, and say how much of an impact it has on the team?

I did until this season, at least. I think that one probably looks at the number of minutes played by your players, and how long the players with the most minutes have been on your team. It may also look at salary as well as minutes or instead of.

The thing I find really funny is the merchandise. Until I bought a close to 150k salary player recently because I had almost that much room to meet the salary floor, my merchandise revenue was nearly double my "real" salary expenses and for some weeks, higher than I had ever had. This was with essentially one 21k salary player and one 12k salary player who were 14 season veterans of my team and a bunch of scrubs I'd either drafted or signed many years ago.

My familiarity rating is 4.5, and it does nothing except help keep the overall rating decent. My merchandise has hovered around 18-20K for 3 seasons, and nothing really seems to help it. I'm missing something.

It is one of the most absurd features of the game.....I have had it drop two points when I sold and end of the bench player that had been with me for half a season......its second only to the cryptic training method that is more complicated than most algorithms, and nearly hieroglyphic to those of us not dedicating 40 hours a week to the game.

3.5 out of 5 is pretty good in my opinion.

its hard to get a 5 or 4.5, but certain weeks of the season you can, but some think its a math problem when its not. not possible to get a perfect rating in every slot, because always room for improvement.

Sometimes a 1 ball is a good rating for the week, 3.5 is a good review overall.

"I am familiar with the star players, and am not afraid that they will be transferred"
3.5 down to 0.5 for selling the backup 7k PG who I've had for about 2 seasons total. Laughable.

Attendance didn't suffer. All other categories are 4, 4.5 or 5 and I was playing a good team at home after a road win.

I just laugh at the "star players" moniker. At least that should mean your starters or top 5 salaried guys or your homegrown draftee/trainees.

I never had more than 0,5 points in that category. FS is trash - but as long as it is the same for all...

understanding the fan survey is not as hard as some are making it be.? whats your team theme.. ? how did you model your team? thats how it works

In some spots a 1 ball is fine ,

Smurfs, I'm right there with you. Something I would appreciate is changing "Team played well in its last league game" to "Team has played well in the last three league games". I'm going to buy a manager that helps my road performance because it has more impact on my home game attendance.
