Hello everybody,

first of all thank you for your confidence, although I am fully aware that I was the only candidate.

I make no mystery of the fact that succeding to Joe is an overwhelming task, which I intend to fulfill at the best of my abilities.

My plans for the NT are simple, trying to maintain the level of performance of previous seasons while bringing in fresh blood into the team - Yes Marichal and Okrajek I'm looking at you :)

And my first official game as NT manager is a success, although Albania proved to be a worthy opponent. I had to switch my line-up 3 times due to injury issues, let's hope everything will be sorted out soon.

Next week we are facing Scotland.

It was indeed no problem.

Peaceful game for our Lions, remarkable performance of Alaerts who sadly will be leaving Ventola after many seasons.

Next week we encounter Bulgaria for a much more trickier game !

And let's make it three !

A solid game against Bulgaria, although things seemed tense early in the third quarter when Bulgaria came back at only one point 57-58. However, the boys did better after that and managed their advance carefully.

Next week, Hungary is an extremely dangerous opponent, having beaten Russia by a small margin today.

Tonight the boys did extremely well with clinching a win against Hungary, thus keeping our dream of qualification alive !!

I must credit Joe with coming out with very interesting tactical ideas while I was still very unsure.

Now, we hold a 4 - 0 record which is great, but in the last games we ar ethe clear underdogs. I'll try my best, but we're facing very strong sides now.

Bad GDP, bad tactics, bad shape, bad manager.

Everything went wrong in a game in which we clearly were the outsiders, I was far from evening the odds.

This puts us in a difficult situation concerning qualification, but we already knew that all games following the Scotland one could be lost.

In order to sualify, this was the game to win, we lost it. Tactics was perfect, we fail for 3 miserable poins against a lithuanian side that is better than ours.

That's very disappointing because much ad been done for this qualification, and falling so short to it is quite painful :(

Our campaign ends with a win against Russia, although this was a particularly difficult one despite a positive GDP.

I was particulary impressed by our offensive performance, although defensively there is still much to be done. I'm not done analysing things yet, but although qualification was already jeopardized since last week, tonight's results highlight the fact that we wouldn't have qualified even if we had beaten Lithuania last week (which was a particulary painful defeat indeed).

Now scrimmages await us, perhaps a good opportunity to bring in new players or test new things out.

Our series of scrimmages has now begun, we start off with an away win in Israel :

We shouldn't focus on the results during this period, I'll probably try several things out.
