Just wondering, what's the level of your doctor?

Doctors help reduce the severity of player injuries. Once a player is injured, a Doctor will also help him heal more quickly, but the effect is much smaller than the initial reduction in severity.

If this is the case, then a 5 week injury shouldn't happen to a team with a level 7 doctor. If they help reduce the severity, and 5 weeks is the max, then a 5 week injury should be almost impossible. And if this isn't the case, why would anybody staff a level 6/7 doctor?

Doctors just help your player get better faster after a injury nothing more or less. Injures shouldn't be on the game if you ask me.

They serve no good purpose to anything. Some will give the realism argument and I say its nothing but a cop-out ,IMo

They provide a chance for lesser teams to beat stronger teams. No fun if the strongest team on paper is always the strongest team in practice.

This. I squeaked out a win over the (at the time) number one team in my rival conference because his star center (42k) was injured. My highest-paid player is like 8k or something. I would've had much slimmer to no chance whatsoever without that injury.

As far as a five week injury, it's possible, yes, but it's rare. And it doesn't truly matter the level of doctor, from what I've seen, but I feel that the level of doctor means the "five week" injury will heal faster or slower. You might be sitting there 41 days with a level one doctor, but a level seven might make it 34.9 and bring him back five weeks on the dot To that game.

I have level 3 doctor. Maybe that's not enough? I'm not sure. I guess it's too late now to upgrade.

the most [injury] I've ever seen is 3 weeks and those are usually rare.

I have level 3 doctor.

Congratulations on your fantastic GOOD luck, never having seen an injury for more than three weeks in seven or eight seasons.

I got a 5 week injury with a level 5 doctor a few seasons ago. Happened to my best trainee as well, because of course it did.

Staff does very little. I've seen BB-admins say just that. Injuries, and particularly lengthy ones, are exceedingly rare. There's a good chance doctor level had nothing to do with your injury, you just got crazy unlucky.

I can say in my 22 seasons I've never had an injury greater than 3 weeks.
