Hi everybody,

What do you think is the best offense tactic against a team with a strong Full Court Press as main defensive option?

Thanks in advance

Luis

I don't get it? FCP lowers the ribounts. That means that the OP will be better in ribaunts. So why should s/he play slow offenses? I think s/he should use fast offenses because s/he will be better in ribaunts and S/he can have chances again and again for the missed shots.

If you are goot at outside offenses than use R&G , and if you are good at inside offenses then use LI. The other option can be Push the Ball if you are both goot at outside and inside scoring.

I've always taken the view that you just run your best offense when facing a FCP. If your team is turnover prone naturally, you probably want to run a fast pace even if you normally don't, to try to get shots off sooner, but otherwise I think you just go at it like you would a man to man defense, just knowing that you'll have a few more turnovers, but a much higher shooting percentage.

Its not good idea to play push the ball or run and gun versus Fcp.. Fcp creates turn overs and those two are offenses have a turnover rate error in them. So in small you just boosted his defense.

If you have all good handling guards and good ones overall you can pretty much get the all up the floor set the play score or get a good shot.. But if you play a fast pace it increase turnover , the foe is already looking for turnovers. Now this may seem false with managers playing LI and winning.. I cannot explain it other than the game was Built for Big men not any other. A slow pace versus Fcp is kind of unwise because it (fcp)trying burn the shot clock too . So you have to have good guards , or very good players or choose a tactic that get the all to best player or moves the ball a lot (passing). In small a balanced tactic

Yes Fcp lowers the rebounds. because it not looking for rebounds, it looking for fast break from error turnovers on the floor. I think it would wise to play a Offense that has rebounds in it to counter this like" low post" or "paitnet". You don't need a lot of rebounds all the time to win. If a manager has good shooters, good guards you don't need any rebounds or a lot of them.

They pretty much shred that defense every time. But if his guard are defensivly better than yours. thats the kicker to me, that plays the Big factor

I usually just play whatever offense I was planning to play anyway. I did have some problems with FCP teams in the past.

I am also with hrudey. I think when a team plays a FCP, they are shooting themselves in the foot normally, so just play your best offense. Generally I'd rather increase the pace than decrease the pace against a FCP defense though, because you get so many easy shots, which makes up for the extra turnovers that you lose, in my opinion. Treat it like a poor mans M2M.
