50% Tax of the money you are overspending each week (not including player's salaries raised during training).

Revenue: $500k
Expenses: $600k

That is $100k but through training your salaries rose $20k. You are taxed 50% on $80k only. Tax is $40k. Instead of losing $100k per week you will lose $140k per week.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

So are the base salaries of your trainees used in the calculation the salaries they have at the beginning of that particular season or their salaries at the moment they are added to your team from a previous season?

Considering how screwed up attendance always is this type of change seems wrong without fixing that first. I get LPP on the road out of the gate, easily the most unwinnable game I could have been dealt. And now because of that my attendance is going to take a significant hit on Tuesday and the tax might kick in afterwords.

Just realize 8 teams (half of 16 teams) including my team will be in deficit this week because of no home game yesterday. So that means even I under salaries floor I still need to pay this overextension tax?! Ouch!

Salaries are what they were when players were added to your team.
Draft players stay at original and the others when you bought them

No tax until 1/6.
If you have a week with no home game it goes by your previous home game.

Thanks. So is the calculation for this figure anywhere we could find it or just the final number? Saying I have $0 overextension tax doesn't exactly help me figure out how much salary or expense I could add to my roster.

Your training exemption + your total revenues is how high your total expenses can go before the overexemption tax kicks in. I'd love to see more details per player on how much exemption they provide, but I guess you look towards Buzzer Manager for their salary when they joined your team.

Say your training exemption is $160k.

It means your expenses can be $160k over the revenue and you won't pay tax on it. You'll still lose $160k a week but none of it on tax.

ex. You are $160k over. You lose $160k per week still because you are overspending.
ex. You are $180k over. You lose $180k per week plus 50% on the $20k you are not exempt from. Total loss $190k.
ex. You are $210k over. You lose $210k per week plus 50% on the $50k you are not exempt from. Total loss $235k.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.
