Welcome to Naismith Div II champions! It looks like this may be an even more competitive year than last, with no team declaring they're competing for the top draft pick yet. And after a really good crop of draftees, I don't think Naismith is lucky enough to get 2 good drafts in a row.
And the salary update was a bit harsher on my team than I had expected. But fortunately, it looks like we'll see a slight raise in our TV contract by about $9k, which is a nice surprise. Everyone can sell their players and tank now :)

Blenkinsop has sold his starting lineup.
Tanking?

Hmmm, nice find. I guess they are all 30-31 and he wants to get some good value from them and buy some younger chaps.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Just wondering how my training exemption total stacks up with everyone here
Do we figure this is a number we don't want to share?

Is it in the triple digits like mine?

Not surprising, you train

I think this will impact the TL with higher prices for well trained players. Because more teams will be hanging onto them to keep under the tax. Probably 1-3 players on each elite team are going to have to be trained or high tax will sap their money fast.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

I think high potential players, and players at the end of the season that expect to see a bump in salary will become more expensive. Maybe NT players that can get you more merch revenue too.
But that said, how many teams will this actually effect? I didn't think too many teams generally run deficits, am I wrong? Unless you're in a difficult division and are planning to promote, I don't see many teams being sustainable regularly running substantial deficits, except maybe large nations with really competitive top leagues. Imo, this seems mostly directed at B3, and I think it's a good step for the B3.

I think this will impact teams that have trained players in the top divisions.
It will certainly save them plenty of money when it's time to make a run at it
They will be able to surround those now fully trained studs with high priced free agents

Wait, where's the training exemption info? I'm struggling to read and process things with a flu.
