Although he seems very nice, I think not because even if he's the best player in the Nation he will cap very soon and the others will be better than him very soon.

I mean if he's good enough to make the team at the start of the season, he'll make it, but if he caps midseason nd ges passed he won't play anymore. Continue to train him though.

Alright, I guess I'll just continue to train him normally with 2 position. I wonder if he'll reach his cap by 21.

I want to ask the same question. In fact, I have numerous young players and being trained, but only one of them got the U21 NT call-up. (He got called up for Cymru :) and played well recently ... 26 points 10 rebounds (87491589) )

Currently, I planned to train the 18 years old as he might have a chance for Macau U21 NT next season. His potential is "star potential".

It really depends on the country (small countries have lower requirements because they can chose from a smaller pool of players) and how you train him. An SF can do very well with Star potential, but a Center needs higher potential generally.

Only sure way to find out is to contact the U21 coach of the country of your player.
