Absolutely agree with your idea. Usually the difference between the starting asking price and the price you think would be adequate isnt that much, ranging from 500K to maybe 1.5-2 million, but still, those prices arent adequate and people still manage profit from this type of sales. Usually, those are 26-30 yrs old, either 40-50k sfs around 100-110skil points, or 100K+ one dimensional high skill players. This might not be a regular case on everyday market, but not very seldom one can see this type of transfers to be accomplished..

My experiences with auctions has been: If no one bids at what the auction believes the minimum price to be, it either gets lowered on its own until a bid occurs. Or the auction straight up repossesses it themselves.

So, I guess 2 ideas come from that:
Listed players not bought at their price listing get automatically re-listed for half of what they were listed before
or
Listed players that do not receive any bids become FAs

Neither of those sound particularly appealing.

Yeah, a x% tax on the starting price would be the way to solve this issue, I think. Quote from another game I play :
* Creating auction costs 2.0% of initial price
** Auction owner pays 1.0% auction fee when the auction is finished

I agree, if the transfer is completed you have to pay the tax, if not you pay the same tax on the starting price discouraging the unfair (but legal) behaviour

To make the game little more like real life would be nice never allow of your roster on the market, a rule like maximum players on transfer list (3 or 5) and minimum players in the roster (5 or 8)?

I suggested a looong time ago, that auctions should only start at an aking price of $1 - that would lead to a much better (fair) prices, as all players would be sold for their market value. Add an autobid-feature and you have the perfect solution.

I put my player on auction for 1$

Then setup my autobid on him for 1 000 000

du?

Putting players on auction for 1$ is as worse as autobid

will be hours and days without players on transfermarket (interesting ones) and when they came out ... what do you think?

Prices will rocket up even more?

Howl to the Moon, you won't regret it.
