16th Final!!!

Wow, what a season friends!!

Historic first for Luxembourg, a qualification in the round of 16 of the consolation.

I would first like to congratulate all the player owners of our nation and their training.

When I took charge of the selection I wanted to help it progress but to see such players today is incredible.

A qualification obtained following a fantastic journey:

6 victories for 2 defeats.

Luxembourg 84 - 112 Philippines:
Complicated start away from home for the 29th in the world but logical.

Iran 102 - 103 Luxembourg:
the best match I had to follow live with a victory at the buzzer I was super happy.

Luxembourg 105 - 101 Scotland:
Another very close match which was played in the last minute.


Norge 103 - 121 Luxembourg:
Great victory at home.



Luxembourg 86 - 106 Uruguay:
for this qualifier we have to beat either Uruguay at home, or Peru at home, I made the decision to try everything on Peru, and despite that this defeat of 20pts is not not horrible.

Peru 99 - 103 Luxembourg:
Here we are still hanging on but a match that I had checked, and the team delighted me it is this match which gives us the qualification for me, even if it is an all in view of the close matches.


Luxembourg 107 - 88 Malta:
Logical victory.


Ghana 87 - 107 Luxembourg:
We were favorites and at home but stress and bad choices could have changed everything

The First Round of 16:
Luxembourg 77 - 90 Slovensko:
What can I say, I hoped even though I knew the chances were close to 0, and my players did not disappoint me.
