For the third time in three attempts, the Irish National Team has come up short, this time in a narrow 44-point loss to Hungary.

"We were within 23 after the third period, and we felt like we had a run in us," said Stephen McGuire. A 41-point fourth quarter sealed the fate of the boys in green.

Another high-powered squad awaits them this week.

"Estonia. Isn't that the circle of enormous stones?" asked Jackson Fields, presumably referring to Stonehenge, the English monument with no relation to the Scandinavian country.

With elimination now almost assured, the matter of a second consecutive winless qualification campaign now moves to the forefront.

"We have winnable games on the horizon. We just have to execute. Like Churchill in Vietnam," said Fields, demonstrating for the second time the same interview his abysmal knowledge of English history.
